Account Manager
I. Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and serving as the primary point of contact between Futron and its customers. This role plays a critical part in shaping how Futron is perceived by clients and identifying opportunities for business growth.
The Account Manager acts as the “eyes and ears” of the organization, driving:
- Expansion of existing contracts
- New project opportunities within current business lines
- Growth into new markets and service areas
II. Authority
- Authority to sign contracts and modifications as delegated in the proposal
- Approve non-project-related expenditures up to $500
- Approve project-related expenditures up to $100,000
III. Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts and key decision-makers
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams
- Represent Futron professionally to enhance client satisfaction and retention
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new accounts
- Respond to bid boards and support proposal development efforts
- Meet and exceed assigned revenue and profit targets
- Promote Futron’s capabilities and value proposition to clients and partners
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and capability briefings
Strategic Growth & Market Engagement
- Expand business within existing contracts and identify new market opportunities
- Build and maintain vendor and partner relationships
- Attend trade shows and industry events as required
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver full lifecycle solutions to clients
Reporting & Performance Management
- Submit sales forecasts and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Host internal account reviews and strategy sessions
- Participate in sales meetings and company initiatives
Operational & Team Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Futron teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Engage internal and external resources to support client needs
- Follow vendor and partner engagement directives
- Adhere to sales leadership mentorship and training programs
- Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
IV. Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in inside sales or a related sales role
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Sales strategies and techniques
- Marketing principles and product demonstrations
- Customer relationship management
- Ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth

- Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader
- CRM software
- AutoCAD (preferred)
VI. Equipment Utilization
Ability to operate standard office and field equipment, including:
- Personal computer and tablets
- Telephone and mobile devices
- Scanner, copier, and fax machine
- Calculator
- Automobile for client travel
VII. Working Conditions
- Primary work environment: office setting, with time spent at client sites and project locations
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
- Requires persistence, adaptability, and emotional control in challenging situations
- Travel required, including overnight stays
VIII. Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
- Salary: $120,000 annually
