Medical Material Technician

Position Overview

Futron is anticipating an award for two Medical Material Technicians to support the 48th Medical Group (48 MDG) at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom. This position provides day-to-day medical supply support, including receiving, processing, storing, selecting, and delivering medical materials throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a warehouse or medical supply environment. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, the ability to safely handle and organize supplies, and a commitment to completing daily deliveries and assigned tasks on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming medical supply shipments during standard operating hours.
  • Offload and distribute incoming medical supply shipments to designated clinics and site locations.
  • Scan barcodes and enter receipt information into the automated record system in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Verify shipments by matching item identification against shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Select and prepare medical supplies for distribution based on daily requirements.
  • Deliver medical supplies to hospital clinics and designated locations, completing daily deliveries by 1630 hours.
  • Store, stack, palletize, and rotate medical supplies based on their use, size, shape, quantity, and special handling requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and properly stocked medical supply storage area.
  • Distribute medical gas tanks to requesting medical personnel.
  • Escort delivery trucks as required and retrieve incoming supplies within 30 minutes of notification using a Futron vehicle.
  • Maintain required warehouse coverage, ensuring at least one warehouse team member is present between 0730 and 1630.
  • Follow established safety, handling, inventory, and receiving procedures.
  • Perform other related medical material and warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, medical supply, or material handling is preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and organize medical supplies and materials.
  • Ability to accurately receive, identify, store, and distribute items.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter and retrieve information from automated systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a Futron vehicle as required.
  • Reliable and able to work assigned hours and maintain required shift coverage.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Work Schedule

Standard operating hours are 0730–1630, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise directed by the Government. The position requires maintaining warehouse coverage throughout the operating day and completing daily medical supply deliveries by 1630.
